Welcome Back Cast C! Feb. 2004

Our reunion is this summer in Tuscon, July 15 - 18.
Here's a link to a chart Jeff Zadroga is keeping as to who is planning on attending.
.

Lots of New E-Mail!

Stella

Hello Everyone!

It is great to see that we made an impression on the world that lives on in places besides our memories!

It was great to hear from my old friends.

I look forward to the day that I can take my son to a Up With People Performance and give him the chance
to see what those old pictures and video's were all about.

I finally got married in 2002.

I have one son (10) and three steps (5, 9, 13) two boys two girls. I still travel frequently. Write a lot, and host a radio show. That is my life in a nutshell. I had a picture of the wedding on my laptop so here it is. Life is busy but great!
Glad to hear from you all.

Katie

Got married and had a little boy this past year!
I doubt we'll make it to Tuscon but I'd love to come.
It will be a last minute thing if we do. I'm doing well.
Back at work and finally made partner in a law firm.

I have a latvian boyfriend and part time I am living in Riga,
part time in Helsinki. We have been together for half year and
we are planning to register our relationship (get married!) this summer.
I send you a photo of us, just a month ago we spent two weeks in Miami.

A message from Inge

Hey - I'm doing fine.
I'm sorry I won't make it to the reunion.
During my carreer as an oil-rig worker in the North-sea,
I had some bad experiences with helicopters.
That made me more and more sceptical to the art of flying,
so the last time I flew was in 1988.
I'm very busy with feeding my daughters and doing my job as a teacher.
I have regular contact with Rick Chapman. He has become a great
photographer, so take a look at his web-site www.rickchapman.com.

Sorry for the delay.Ôø‡ I've been traveling a lot out of my base in Calcutta -
throughout India and also Cambodia and Thailand.Ôø‡ Have never been such a bachelor.
Anyway, this email (spuppy98@hotmail.com)
is still good, I just don't have enough time (and sometimes frequent access)
to do justice with my responses.

Won't be able to make the reunion in July, but may be in the States in May/June or August/September for a couple of weeks.Ôø‡ Will be thinking of you all, and may try to call during the reunion to catch up, say hello, and catch a few refrains of forever friends.
Love and best wishes to all,

Sue

keith,

It was great to hear from you and even greater to hear you're happy.
Family life will do funny things to you. It's awesome though isn't it.
Here are some pictures I promised you. Graydon will be 1 year old in a
week. One picture Paige would be mad if she new I was sending but its a good
one of Graydon.
Still don't know if we'll make it to Tucson in July. It sure would be neat
if we could though, still working on it. Speaking of Tucson we're going
there in 2 weeks to visit my in-laws they just inherited a condo there.
It will be nice to get away from the cold nights. It's -10 degree average at
night in Jan. and Feb. it's a good thing the sun warms things up in the day.

Well...well...well... what incredible timing of email Dr. Weiner!

Fate or Destiny..(or are we all living in the Matrix)!? Had just unboxed my old UWP sweatshirts HOURS ago... One is Phil Record's, one is mine. They're old, stained, worn almost threadbare. Sane minds would say "Chunk it--- and by God...why haven't you sooner!!?" Why have I kept these articles so long...move upon move...box after box? Maybe it's time to let go of them...

I stood there reading over the names and immediately was taken back to Tucson. I can still remember us voting on these shirts. I remember first receiving it...and being so proud that we had the coolest shirts..because alas..we were the coolest cast! Once again I board the bus to another uppy memory ride...

How often do you do this? Do you relive the wonderful times almost as if watching a video of us? Do you think back to host families you loved, places in which you embraced an assortment of emotions and experiences, fellow cast members whose voices and witticism you can clearly hear..... Do you come out of these trancelike states and find that time has passed and you're still standing there with whatever item jolted these incredible blasts from the past?

I think you do. I think you all do....so you'll understand why I cannot toss this well loved old "blanket". I think you still have memorabilia of some sort, even maybe the group picture. Yes --we are all 20 year older versions of that fun loving group, and I for one want to see my forever friends again.

So--let us know how we can help out. I know that I and others are grateful for another chance to get to see as many of you as possible!

I hope all is well with you. We are fine here in the wet state of

Georgia. I wanted to drop you a note to let you know that our 20 year

hot Tucson will be fun. I wanted to see if you can help me contact

folks. I am going to start trying to update email addresses, home

Howdy All! At 12:43 PM Grayson Mile Buchanan was born via cesarean section at Hermann Hospital. 7 pounds 7 ounces and is doing very well. It's Byron's birthday also..... What a great birthday present for him! Katie is a bit sore from the surgery and a little loopy from the pain medicine, but is also doing well.
